From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of computer programming graduates with certificate and training from the most inexpensive online colleges and universities has decreased. However, the number of graduates has increased by 2,786 graduates each year.
Other somewhat more costly online computer programming training and certificate colleges charge a yearly tuition in the range of $1,462 to $1,894. Approximately 2 of the 7 online schools offering certificate and training in computer programming programs in the US charge tuition in this range.
Approximately 6,649 students earned their degrees from these low tuition online programs in 2011. This is 36% of the nation’s computer programming training and certificate level graduates.
