A yearly average tuition of $12,080 is charged by schools offering online business programs around the country. The average tuition has increased by 16.4% over the past few years. The annual average tuition at these online schools in 2007 was $10,375.

The most expensive colleges that offer online business programs require students to pay a yearly tuition of over $18,690. But, annual tuition at the cheapest schools is in the range of $576 to $4,322. The accredited online business schools that are the most inexpensive are located in Arizona, California, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Texas.

From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of business graduates from the most inexpensive online colleges has decreased. However, the number of graduates has increased by 85,392 graduates per annum.

Other somewhat more expensive online business schools charge students tuition ranging from $4,347 to $9,720 per annum. Of the 826 online colleges and universities that offer business programs in the nation, 166 charge students tuition in this range.

A reported 1,580,002 students earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. This is 34% of the nation’s business graduates. In 2006, which was only 5 years earlier, the number of graduates from these colleges was only 1,314,609 students. Therefore, from these reasonably priced online colleges and universities, the number of students graduating has increased by 20%.
