Colleges and universities across the nation that have online associates degree in healthcare programs require students to pay a median tuition of $9,504 per year. In recent years, the median tuition has increased. This change in tuition was about 83.6%. The per annum median tuition was $5,177 at these online colleges and universities in 2007.

At the high end, schools with online associates degree in healthcare programs charge students more than $13,680 in tuition per annum. However, tuition charged by the cheapest schools ranges from $600 to $3,255 yearly. The most inexpensive accredited online healthcare associates degree schools are located in Arizona, California, Kansas, Massachusetts, and New Mexico.

In 2011, an estimated 22% of healthcare graduates with associates degrees from online colleges across the country earned credentials from these cheap programs. This represents 258,063 of the 1,176,933 graduates from across the country. Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of healthcare graduates with associates degrees from the lowest cost online colleges has increased, while the number of graduates has also increased by 65,972 graduates yearly.

Other somewhat more costly online healthcare associates degree colleges and universities charge a yearly tuition in the range of $3,285 to $6,240. Tuition in this range is charged by 56 of the 301 online colleges that offer associates degrees in healthcare programs in the country.

In 2011, 22.2% of the nation’s healthcare associates level graduates earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs. This represents 261,507 students. Only 216,200 students earned credentials from these schools in 2006, which was just 5 years prior. Thus, from these low tuition online colleges and universities, the number of graduates has increased by 21%.
