Colleges and universities across the nation that offer online masters degree in technology programs charge a median tuition of $8,322 per year. The median tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was approximately 20.5%. In 2007, the median tuition was $6,907 per year at these online colleges.

Tuition of more than $24,420 annually is charged by the most expensive colleges and universities with online masters degree in technology programs. On the other hand, per annum tuition charged by the cheapest colleges and universities ranges from $2,820 to $5,472. The accredited online technology masters degree schools that are the most inexpensive are located in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Virginia.

Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of technology graduates with masters degrees from the lowest cost online colleges and universities has increased, while the number of graduates has also increased by 59,512 graduates annually.

Other somewhat more costly online technology masters degree schools charge a yearly tuition in the range of $5,568 to $8,322. Tuition in this range is charged by 17 of the 65 online colleges that offer masters degrees in technology programs in the country.

Approximately 314,091 students earned their degrees from these low tuition online programs in 2011. This is 32% of the nation’s technology masters level graduates. Only 5 years prior, in 2006, only 278,537 students earned credentials from these colleges. Therefore, the number of students graduating from these cheap online colleges has increased by 13%.
