Colleges and universities across the nation that offer online masters degree in information technology programs charge an average tuition of $17,664 per year. The average tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was approximately 16.5%. The per annum average tuition was $15,167 at these online colleges and universities in 2007.

This represents 83,070 of the 354,456 graduates from across the country. From 2006 to 2011, the number of information technology graduates with masters degrees from the least costly online colleges and universities has increased by 49,199 graduates each year. Also, the percentage of graduates from these colleges and universities has increased.

Yearly tuition in the range of $7,309 to $13,680 is charged by other somewhat more costly online information technology masters degree colleges and universities. Of the 26 online colleges and universities with masters degrees in information technology programs in the nation, 6 offer programs with tuition in this range.

In 2011, 25.4%, or 90,009 of the country’s information technology masters level graduates received their certificates from these cheap online programs. In 2006, which was only 5 years earlier, as much as 103,915 students graduated from these colleges. Thus, from these low tuition online colleges and universities, the number of graduates has decreased by 13%.
