Colleges and universities across New Mexico that offer online programs charge a median tuition of $4,128 per year. In recent years, the median tuition has increased. This change in tuition was about 46.1%. The median tuition per annum was $2,825 at these online New Mexico schools in 2007.

Tuition of more than $11,948 annually is charged by the most expensive online colleges. But, per annum tuition at the cheapest colleges and universities is in the range of $880 to $960. The least costly accredited online schools are located in Clovis, Farmington, and Las Vegas.

From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of graduates from the most inexpensive online colleges and universities has decreased. However, the number of graduates has increased by 45 graduates each year.

Tuition ranging from $1,214 to $2,688 yearly is charged by other somewhat more expensive schools. A reported 3 of the 15 online schools with programs in New Mexico charge tuition in this range.

A reported 6,922 students earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. This is 13% of the state’s graduates. The number of graduates from these colleges and universities was only 6,768 students, a short 5 years earlier, in 2006. Therefore, the number of students graduating from these reasonably priced online colleges has increased by 2%.
