An average tuition of $14,550 annually is charged by schools around the country offering online bachelors degree in nursing programs. The average tuition has increased, over the past few years, by 2.4%. The yearly average tuition was $14,214 at these online colleges in 2007.

A yearly tuition of over $21,620 is charged by the costliest schools that offer online bachelors degree in nursing programs. The cheapest colleges and universities, on the other hand, require students to pay tuition in the range of $3,555 to $4,970 per annum. The accredited online nursing bachelors degree schools that are the most inexpensive are located in Idaho, Kansas, and New York.

In 2011, roughly 15% of nursing graduates with bachelors degrees from online colleges across the country earned credentials from these reasonably priced programs. Therefore, of the 150,824 graduates in the nation, 22,519 are from the most inexpensive colleges and universities. Between 2006 and 2011, the number of nursing graduates with bachelors degrees from the least expensive online schools has increased by 4,903 graduates per year, while the percentage of graduates from these schools has decreased.

Other somewhat more costly online nursing bachelors degree schools charge a yearly tuition in the range of $7,148 to $11,475. Tuition in this range is charged by 3 of the 14 online colleges with bachelors degrees in nursing programs in the country.

In 2011, 15%, or 22,666 of the country’s nursing bachelors level graduates received their certificates from these cheap online programs. The number of graduates from these colleges was only 20,102 students, only 5 years earlier, in 2006. Thus, the number of graduates from these low tuition online colleges has increased by 13%.
