The average tuition charged by colleges in the US that offer online bachelors degree in science programs is $12,016 yearly. Over the past few years, the average tuition has increased. This change in tuition was approximately 17.2%. In 2007, the per annum average tuition was $10,250 at these online colleges and universities.

Tuition of more than $18,900 annually is charged by the most expensive colleges and universities offering online bachelors degree in science programs. But, tuition at the cheapest colleges is in the range of $1,454 to $4,824 yearly. Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and South Dakota are home to the least costly accredited online science bachelors degree schools.

These reasonably priced programs graduated roughly 21% of science graduates with bachelors degrees from online schools around the US in 2011. Therefore, of the 2,244,336 graduates from around the US, 469,863 are from the least costly schools. Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of science graduates with bachelors degrees from the lowest cost online schools has decreased, while the number of graduates has increased by 60,162 graduates per year.

Other somewhat more expensive online science bachelors degree colleges charge students tuition ranging from $4,853 to $7,368 each year. Tuition in this range is charged by 38 of the 142 online colleges that have bachelors degrees in science programs in the country.

Roughly 29.9%, or 670,567 of the country’s science bachelors level graduates received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs in 2011. A short 5 years prior, in 2006, the number of students graduating from these colleges and universities was only 608,617. This is a 10% increase in the number of students graduating from these cheap online schools.
