A per annum median tuition of $9,402 is charged by colleges and universities with online sustainability programs across the nation. The median tuition has increased, over the past few years, by 31.6%. The yearly median tuition at these onlinecolleges in 2007 was $7,145.
Online sustainability colleges and universities are sometimes called sustainability management, sustainable business, and sustainable design colleges and universities. But, tuition in the range of $1,704 to $3,540 each year is charged by the cheapest colleges and universities. The accredited online sustainability schools that are the lowest cost are located in Arizona, Iowa, Massachusetts, and Ohio.

In 2011, of all sustainability graduates from online colleges and universities in the nation, roughly 11% earned credentials from these reasonably priced programs. This represents 38,626 of the 352,476 graduates from around the US. Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of sustainability graduates from the lowest cost online colleges has decreased, while the number of graduates has increased by 2,231 graduates yearly.
Other somewhat more costly online sustainability colleges and universities charge a yearly tuition in the range of $3,874 to $7,793. Tuition in this range is charged by 5 of the 19 online colleges with sustainability programs in the country.
In 2011, 26.4% of the country’s sustainability graduates received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 92,994 students. The number of students graduating from these schools was only 53,728 students in 2006, which was just 5 years prior. Thus, from these low tuition online colleges and universities, the number of graduates has increased by 73%.
