The cheapest schools, on the other hand, charge tuition in the range of $576 to $3,096 per year. The most inexpensive accredited online liberal arts schools are located in California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.

However, the percentage of graduates from these colleges and universities has decreased.
Yearly tuition in the range of $3,120 to $4,610 is charged by other somewhat more costly online liberal arts colleges and universities. Approximately 16 of the 63 online schools offering liberal arts programs in the US charge tuition in this range.
In 2011, 10.8% of the country’s liberal arts graduates received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 55,265 students. The number of graduates from these colleges was as much as 68,105 students, only 5 years earlier, in 2006. Thus, from these affordable online colleges and universities, the number of graduates has decreased by 19%.
