Schools around the country with online information security programs have a median tuition of $9,606 per year. The median tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was around 2.6%. In 2007, the median tuition at these online colleges and universities was $9,360 annually.

Therefore, of the 310,947 graduates from across the country, 59,867 are from the least costly colleges. From 2006 to 2011, the number of information security graduates from the least costly online colleges has increased by 13,577 graduates per annum. However, the percentage of graduates from these colleges has decreased.

Tuition ranging from $9,600 to $13,100 yearly is charged by other somewhat more expensive online information security colleges. Of the 32 online colleges and universities that have information security programs in the nation, 5 have tuition in this range.

In 2011, 16.1% of the country’s information security graduates received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 50,132 students. The number of students graduating from these colleges was as much as 71,797 students in 2006, which was only 5 years prior. Therefore, the number of students graduating from these reasonably priced online colleges has decreased by 30%.
