Colleges in the US that have online educational leadership programs require students to pay a median tuition of $9,900 per year. There has been a 25.4% increase in the median tuition over the past few years. In 2007, the median tuition was $7,896 yearly at these online schools.

A yearly tuition of over $19,628 is charged by the costliest online educational leadership colleges and universities. On the other end of the spectrum, yearly tuition in the range of $2,820 to $5,256 is charged by the cheapest colleges. Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Texas are home to the least expensive accredited online educational leadership schools.

In 2011, these affordable programs graduated a reported 28% of educational leadership graduates from online colleges and universities in the nation. This represents 313,295 of the 1,107,955 graduates from around the US. From 2006 to 2011, the number of educational leadership graduates from the least costly online schools has increased by 62,503 graduates per year. However, the percentage of graduates from these schools has decreased.

Yearly tuition in the range of $5,436 to $9,611 is charged by other somewhat more costly online educational leadership schools. Roughly 19 of the 94 online schools that have educational leadership programs in the US charge tuition in this range.

In 2011, 27.4%, or 304,052 of the country’s educational leadership graduates received their certificates from these cheap online programs. The number of graduates from these colleges and universities was only 236,612 students, a short 5 years earlier, in 2006. Thus, from these low tuition online colleges and universities, the number of graduates has increased by 29%.
