The most expensive colleges that have online programs require students to pay a yearly tuition of over $15,830. However, the cheapest colleges and universities charge students per annum tuition costs ranging from $1,676 to $2,870. The most inexpensive accredited online schools are located in Cocoa, Fort Lauderdale, Lake Worth, Ocala, and Orlando.

Between 2006 and 2011, the number of graduates from the least expensive online colleges has increased by 111,892 graduates yearly, while the percentage of graduates from these colleges has decreased.

Tuition ranging from $3,347 to $11,240 per year is charged by other somewhat more expensive schools. Of the 60 online colleges and universities that have programs in Florida, 17 have tuition in this range.

Approximately 42.1% of the state’s graduates earned their degrees from these low tuition online programs in 2011. This represents 249,851 students. The number of graduates from these schools was only 90,429 students, just 5 years earlier, in 2006.
