The median tuition charged by colleges in the US offering online certificate in early childhood education programs is $3,137 yearly. The median tuition has increased by 14.5% in recent years. The per annum median tuition was $2,739 at these online colleges and universities in 2007.

An estimated 4 of the 18 online schools that offer certificate in early childhood education programs in the US charge tuition in this range.

A reported 22.7% of the nation’s early childhood education certificate level graduates earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. This represents 9,974 students. In 2006, which was only 5 years earlier, the number of graduates from these colleges was only 7,094 students. This represents a 41% increase in the number of graduates from these low tuition online schools.
