Schools around the country with online bachelors degree in nursing programs have a median tuition of $16,500 per year. The median tuition has decreased over the past few years. This change in tuition was about 9.1%. In 2007, the median tuition was $18,156 annually at these online colleges.

At the high end, schools offering online bachelors degree in nursing programs charge students more than $23,160 in tuition per annum. But, the cheapest colleges and universities charge per annum tuition costs in the range of $3,555 to $7,148. Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, and New York are home to the least costly accredited online nursing bachelors degree schools.

In 2011, roughly 23% of nursing graduates with bachelors degrees from online colleges across the country earned credentials from these reasonably priced programs. This represents 42,539 of the 181,421 graduates in the nation. From 2006 to 2011, the number of nursing graduates with bachelors degrees from the least costly online schools has decreased by 5,644 graduates per year. Also, the percentage of graduates from these schools has decreased.

Other somewhat more costly online nursing bachelors degree schools charge a yearly tuition in the range of $10,320 to $15,285. Tuition in this range is charged by 4 of the 17 online colleges that offer bachelors degrees in nursing programs in the country.

In 2011, 11,377 students received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 6% of the country’s nursing bachelors level graduates. Only 5 years prior, in 2006, the number of students graduating from these colleges was as much as 31,386. This is a 64% decrease in the number of students graduating from these cheap online schools.
