An average tuition of $15,807 annually is charged by schools around the country with online bachelors degree in communications programs. The average tuition has decreased over the past few years. This change in tuition was around 5.9%. At these online colleges and universities the average tuition each year in 2007 was $16,804.

But, the cheapest colleges charge yearly tuition costs in the range of $2,812 to $9,480. The accredited online communications bachelors degree schools that are the lowest cost are located in Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of communications graduates with bachelors degrees from the most inexpensive online colleges and universities has remained constant. However, the number of graduates has decreased by 87,052 graduates each year.

Yearly tuition in the range of $9,720 to $14,076 is charged by other somewhat more costly online communications bachelors degree colleges and universities. Of the 61 online colleges and universities offering bachelors degrees in communications programs in the nation, 23 charge tuition in this range.

Approximately 17% of the nation’s communications bachelors level graduates earned their degrees from these low tuition online programs in 2011. This represents 131,073 students. Just 5 years prior, in 2006, only 107,907 students earned credentials from these schools. Thus, from these low tuition online colleges and universities, the number of graduates has increased by 22%.
