An annual average tuition of $7,694 is charged by colleges that offer online certification, certificate and training in social science programs in the US. In recent years, there has been a 27% increase in the average tuition. The per annum average tuition was $6,057 at these online colleges and universities in 2007.

At the high end, schools offering online training and certification /certificate in social science programs charge students more than $11,700 in tuition yearly. But, the cheapest colleges and universities charge per annum tuition costs in the range of $600 to $1,808. California, Kansas, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Texas are home to the least expensive accredited online social science training and certification /certificate schools.

These cheap programs graduated an estimated 25% of social science graduates with certificate and certification /training from online schools around the US in 2011. This represents 97,008 of the 383,851 graduates from across the country. From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of social science graduates with certificate and certification from the most inexpensive online schools has increased. Also, the number of graduates has increased by 44,995 graduates per year.
Other somewhat more costly online social science training and certification /certificate schools charge a yearly tuition in the range of $1,968 to $3,354. Of the 85 online colleges and universities with training in social science programs in the nation, 19 offer programs with tuition in this range.
A reported 20%, or 76,720 of the nation’s social science certificate and certification/certificate level graduates earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. The number of graduates from these schools was only 54,151 students, just 5 years earlier, in 2006. This is a 42% increase in the number of students graduating from these cheap online schools.
