Schools around the country with online web development programs have a median tuition of $9,960 per year. Over the past few years, the median tuition has increased. This change in tuition was about 23.2%. In 2007, the median tuition was $8,085 yearly at these online colleges.

At the high end, schools with online web development programs charge students more than $11,160 in tuition yearly. However, annual tuition charged by the cheapest schools ranges from $3,180 to $9,400. The accredited online web development schools that are the lowest cost are located in Michigan, New Mexico, and Wisconsin.

In 2011, roughly 23% of web development graduates from online colleges across the country earned credentials from these reasonably priced programs. This represents 20,829 of the 91,985 graduates in the nation. From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of web development graduates from the most inexpensive online colleges has increased. Also, the number of graduates has increased by 10,214 graduates per annum.

Yearly tuition in the range of $9,480 to $9,780 is charged by other somewhat more costly online web development schools. Roughly 14 of the 45 online schools that have web development programs in the US charge tuition in this range.

A reported 30.2%, or 27,775 of the nation’s web development graduates earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. Only 8,847 students graduated from these colleges and universities, a short 5 years earlier, in 2006.
