Schools around the country offering online physical education programs charge students a median tuition of $5,464 per year. The median tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was about 9.8%. The per annum median tuition at these onlinecolleges and universities in 2007 was $4,978.

The range of tuition at online physical education colleges from most to least expensive is shown in the following chart:

At the high end, schools offering online physical education programs charge students more than $16,640 in tuition per annum. But, tuition in the range of $2,220 to $3,696 per annum is charged by the cheapest colleges. Colorado, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, and North Carolina are home to the least expensive accredited online physical education schools.

These cheap programs graduated an estimated 11% of physical education graduates from online schools around the US in 2011. Therefore, of the 382,210 graduates from across the country, 42,849 are from the most inexpensive colleges. From 2006 to 2011, the percentage of physical education graduates from the most inexpensive online colleges has increased. Also, the number of graduates has increased by 8,434 graduates per annum.

Other somewhat more expensive online physical education schools charge students tuition ranging from $4,824 to $5,461 per year. Of the 29 online colleges and universities offering physical education programs in the nation, 7 charge tuition in this range.

A reported 37.9%, or 144,771 of the nation’s physical education graduates earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. The number of graduates from these colleges and universities was only 129,182 students, a short 5 years earlier, in 2006. Therefore, the number of students graduating from these reasonably priced online colleges has increased by 12%.
