An average tuition of $22,801 annually is charged by colleges in the US that have online PhD in law programs. In recent years, the average tuition has increased. This change in tuition was around 12.7%. The annual average tuition at these online schools in 2007 was $20,231.

Tuition of more than $31,040 per annum is charged by the most expensive colleges and universities offering online doctorate program in law programs. The cheapest colleges, on the other hand, require students to pay tuition in the range of $2,870 to $7,793 per annum. The accredited online law doctoral degree program schools that are the least expensive are located in Arizona, California, Florida, and Idaho.

Of all law graduates with doctoral degree programs from online colleges across the country, approximately 29% graduated from these low tuition programs in 2011. Therefore, of the 439,214 graduates from around the US, 127,821 are from the least costly schools. Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of law graduates with PhD from the lowest cost online colleges and universities has increased, while the number of graduates has also increased by 32,642 graduates annually.

Tuition ranging from $12,300 to $21,600 each year is charged by other somewhat more expensive online law PhD schools. Tuition in this range is charged by 4 of the 17 online colleges offering doctorate programs in law programs in the country.

Approximately 29% of the nation’s law PhD level graduates earned their degrees from these low tuition online programs in 2011. This represents 127,299 students. The number of students graduating from these schools was only 98,194 students in 2006, which was just 5 years prior. This represents a 30% increase in the number of graduates from these low tuition online schools.
