Online PhD Programs in Chemistry That are Most Affordable

Of the colleges in the US, only 3 are online PhD in chemistry colleges. A median tuition of $5,461 annually is charged by these colleges. Over the past few years, there has been a 9.7% increase in the median tuition. The per annum median tuition was $4,978 at these online colleges and universities in 2007.

The most expensive school with online PhD in chemistry programs charges students approximately $31,362 in tuition per annum. However, a tuition of $3,530 per year is charged by the cheapest school.

These most inexpensive programs at UF graduated an estimated 73% of chemistry graduates with doctoral programs from online schools around the nation in 2011. This represents 61,161 of the 84,102 graduates in the US. Between 2006 and 2011, the number of chemistry graduates with PhD from the least expensive programs at UF has increased by 6,765 graduates yearly, while the percentage of graduates from these colleges has also increased.

A reported 14,717 students earned their degrees and certificates from these low tuition online programs at Mississippi State University in 2011. This is 18% of the nation’s chemistry doctorate level graduates. In 2006, which was a short 5 years earlier, the number of graduates from these colleges and universities was only 13,674 students. This is a 8% increase in the number of students graduating from these affordable online programs at MSU.
