Schools around the country with online math programs have an average tuition of $11,143 per year. The average tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was approximately 10.8%. The average tuition per year was $10,057 at these online colleges and universities in 2007.

The range of tuition at online math colleges from most to least expensive is shown in the following chart:

Tuition of more than $19,325 yearly is charged by the most expensive online math colleges. On the other end of the spectrum, tuition in the range of $728 to $4,268 each year is charged by the cheapest colleges and universities. California, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Texas are home to the most inexpensive accredited online math schools.

  • Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Fourth – Eighth Grade – Mathematics

Approximately 20% of mathematics graduates from online schools around the US graduated from these low tuition programs in 2011. This represents 155,187 of the 772,648 graduates in the nation. From 2006 to 2011, the number of mathematics graduates from the least costly online colleges and universities has increased by 15,777 graduates each year. However, the percentage of graduates from these colleges and universities has decreased.

Other somewhat more expensive online math colleges and universities charge students tuition ranging from $4,319 to $6,486 per annum. Tuition in this range is charged by 15 of the 57 online colleges offering math programs in the country.

In 2011, 250,545 students received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 32% of the country’s mathematics graduates. The number of students graduating from these colleges was only 199,643 students in 2006, which was only 5 years prior. Therefore, from these reasonably priced online colleges and universities, the number of students graduating has increased by 26%.
