The cheapest schools, however, charge students tuition ranging from $3,002 to $5,297 per year. The lowest cost accredited online teaching masters degree schools are located in Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Of all teaching graduates with masters degrees from online colleges across the country, a reported 26% graduated from these affordable programs in 2011. This represents 387,731 of the 1,512,379 graduates from across the country. From 2006 to 2011, the number of teaching graduates with masters degrees from the least costly online colleges and universities has increased by 95,833 graduates each year. Also, the percentage of graduates from these colleges and universities has increased.

Tuition ranging from $5,452 to $8,493 per annum is charged by other somewhat more expensive online teaching masters degree colleges and universities. Tuition in this range is charged by 26 of the 100 online colleges with masters degrees in teaching programs in the country.

In 2011, 528,629 students received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 35% of the country’s teaching masters level graduates. In 2006, which was only 5 years earlier, only 457,354 students graduated from these colleges. This is a 16% increase in the number of students graduating from these reasonably priced online schools.
