Online Human Services Degrees That Charge the Least Tuition

Schools around the country that offer online human services programs charge an average tuition of $11,783 per year. There has been a 6.2% increase in the average tuition over the past few years. In 2007, the average tuition was $11,096 yearly at these online colleges.

Tuition of more than $16,792 per annum is charged by the most expensive online human services colleges. On the other end of the spectrum, tuition in the range of $600 to $8,040 per annum is charged by the cheapest colleges. Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, North Dakota, and Vermont are home to the least costly accredited online human services schools.

In 2011, roughly 16% of human services graduates from online colleges across the country earned credentials from these reasonably priced programs. Therefore, of the 259,828 graduates from around the US, 41,488 are from the most inexpensive schools. Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of human services graduates from the lowest cost online colleges and universities has increased, while the number of graduates has also increased by 33,667 graduates annually.

Yearly tuition in the range of $9,360 to $10,320 is charged by other somewhat more costly online human services schools. A reported 22 of the 58 online schools with human services programs in the US charge tuition in this range.

In 2011, 38.8% of the country’s human services graduates received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 100,760 students. The number of graduates from these colleges was only 20,632 students, only 5 years earlier, in 2006.
