A yearly median tuition of $9,780 is charged by schools that have online programs around Indiana. The median tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was approximately 25.8%. In 2007, the median tuition at these online Indiana colleges was $7,776 each year.

Tuition of more than $23,750 per annum is charged by the most expensive online colleges. But, annual tuition in the range of $3,137 to $7,514 is charged by the cheapest schools. Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Muncie, Richmond, and Terre Haute are home to the least costly accredited online schools.

These cheap programs graduated an estimated 39% of graduates from online schools around Indiana in 2011. Therefore, of the 234,474 graduates from around Indiana, 90,598 are from the most inexpensive schools. Between 2006 and 2011, the number of graduates from the least expensive online colleges has increased by 9,434 graduates yearly, while the percentage of graduates from these colleges has decreased.

Other somewhat more costly online schools charge a yearly tuition in the range of $8,124 to $14,766. Tuition in this range is charged by 7 of the 39 online colleges with programs in Indiana.

Approximately 78,341 students earned their degrees from these low tuition online programs in 2011. This is 33% of the state’s graduates. The number of graduates from these schools was only 72,183 students, just 5 years earlier, in 2006. Therefore, the number of students graduating from these cheap online colleges has increased by 9%.
