The most expensive colleges that offer online programs require students to pay a yearly tuition of over $16,700. On the other end of the spectrum, per annum tuition in the range of $1,620 to $3,696 is charged by the cheapest colleges and universities. The least costly accredited online schools are located in Albany, Columbus, Macon, and Oakwood.

From 2006 to 2011, the number of graduates from the least costly online schools has increased by 60,285 graduates per year. Also, the percentage of graduates from these schools has increased.

Yearly tuition in the range of $3,984 to $10,320 is charged by other somewhat more costly online schools. Tuition in this range is charged by 11 of the 41 online colleges that have programs in Georgia.

A reported 34.2%, or 85,108 of the state’s graduates earned their degrees and certificates from these affordable online programs in 2011. As much as 114,667 students graduated from these colleges, only 5 years earlier, in 2006. This represents a 26% decrease in the number of graduates from these low tuition online schools.
