Colleges and universities across the nation offering online certification, certificate and training in education programs charge students an average tuition of $3,562 per year. The average tuition has increased, over the past few years, by 29.5%. At these online colleges and universities the average tuition each year in 2007 was $2,752.

Online training and certificate in education colleges can also be referred to as Education Administration and Teaching colleges. The range of tuition at colleges offering online education programs at the certificate and training/certification level from most to least expensive is shown in the following chart:

At the high end, schools offering online certification and certificate /certification in education programs charge students more than $5,280 in tuition per annum. However, tuition charged by the cheapest colleges and universities ranges from $1,356 to $1,704 annually. The accredited online education certification and certificate /certification schools that are the least costly are located in Arizona and North Carolina.

Of all education graduates with certification and certificate /certificate from online colleges across the country, a reported 11% graduated from these affordable programs in 2011. Therefore, of the 43,858 graduates from around the US, 4,936 are from the least costly schools. Between 2006 and 2011, the percentage of education graduates with certification and training from the lowest cost online schools has increased, while the number of graduates has also increased by 2,852 graduates per year.

Yearly tuition in the range of $1,808 to $2,460 is charged by other somewhat more costly online education training colleges. Of the 18 online colleges and universities that have certification and certificate /certificate in education programs in the nation, 4 have tuition in this range.

An estimated 22.7%, or 9,974 of the country’s education certification level graduates received their certificates from these cheap online programs in 2011. Only 7,094 students graduated from these schools, just 5 years earlier, in 2006. Therefore, the number of students graduating from these reasonably priced online colleges has increased by 41%.
