A per annum average tuition of $13,636 is charged by colleges and universities with online bachelors degree in computer science programs across the nation. The average tuition has increased over the past few years. This change in tuition was approximately 16%. The average tuition per year was $11,752 at these online colleges in 2007.

At the high end, schools with online bachelors degree in computer science programs charge students more than $19,044 in tuition per year. However, tuition ranging from $2,160 to $5,850 per annum is charged by the cheapest schools. The accredited online computer science bachelors degree schools that are the most inexpensive are located in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Dakota.

This represents 881,567 of the 3,116,731 graduates from around the US. Between 2006 and 2011, the number of computer science graduates with bachelors degrees from the least expensive online colleges has increased by 39,752 graduates yearly, while the percentage of graduates from these colleges has decreased.

Other somewhat more costly online computer science bachelors degree colleges charge a yearly tuition in the range of $5,859 to $10,650. Of the 404 online colleges and universities with bachelors degrees in computer science programs in the nation, 95 offer programs with tuition in this range.

In 2011, 32.3%, or 1,007,475 of the country’s computer science bachelors level graduates received their certificates from these cheap online programs. In 2006, which was just 5 years earlier, only 810,005 students graduated from these schools. This represents a 24% increase in the number of graduates from these affordable online schools.
